Your Neck and Shoulders

These are two of my favorite neck and shoulder movements for reducing pain.

It is important to stay where you feel comfort and ease in your body as you do these. These movements are not about stretching. They are about you sensing and feeling the movement in your body while you go gently up to the edge of where you feel comfortable moving.

Stay as engaged in the action as you slowly retrace your movement back to a neutral resting place. Be aware of what sensations you are receiving from your hand, arm, shoulder, back, neck or whatever else is going on. What are you experiencing? Do the movement slowly and rest after a few times to give your nervous system time to recognize a new pattern
